Who we are
MoneySliders (moneysliders.com) is a free UK personal finance calculator site. It is run by Edward McDonald and is not a financial adviser. All calculators run entirely in your browser — no data you enter is ever sent to or stored on a server.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or process any personal data you enter into our calculators. Salary figures, property prices, savings amounts, and any other inputs stay entirely within your browser session and are discarded when you close or navigate away from the page. We have no user accounts, no login system, and no database.
Cookies and consent
When you first visit, Google's certified consent management platform shows a consent message asking whether you allow cookies for ads and analytics. Cookie-setting tools do not run until you respond. If you do not consent, only the cookieless tools run.
Your choice is stored so the message does not appear on every visit. To change or withdraw it later, use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which reopens the consent message.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. One is cookieless and always on. The other sets cookies and only runs if you consent on the consent message.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-first, cookieless analytics provided by Cloudflare. It measures page views and traffic sources without using cookies or tracking individual users. No personal data is sent to Cloudflare beyond your IP address, which Cloudflare anonymises. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity is a session recording and heatmap tool that shows how visitors interact with calculator pages, such as where people click and how far they scroll. Clarity sets cookies, so it loads only after you consent on the consent message. It does not share data with Microsoft for advertising purposes. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
If you do not consent, or before you respond, Clarity does not load and no Clarity cookies are set. Cloudflare Web Analytics still runs because it uses no cookies.
Advertising
We display adverts provided by Google AdSense. Consent for advertising cookies is collected through Google's certified consent management platform, which shows the consent message on this site. Google does not set advertising cookies until you consent. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads that do not rely on tracking cookies. Once you consent, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads relevant to your interests, based on your browsing activity. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google's ad settings or through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out. Google's full privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Affiliate links
Some pages include affiliate links to third-party financial products and services (such as Amazon book recommendations). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly contextual — we only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful. We participate in the Amazon Associates programme.
Email (optional)
If you sign up for email updates via our opt-in form, your email address is stored by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email platform. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We do not sell or share your email address. See Kit's privacy policy.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes request metadata (IP address, request path, user agent) as part of delivering the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we hold almost none (email only, if you opted in), most requests can be handled by unsubscribing. For any other data requests or questions, contact us at our contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
